The word “rapture” generally describes an intense, euphoric feeling. It’s often used in relation to experiencing something deeply moving, such as music or art. With regards to religious ecstasy, rapture describes astate of being carried away by emotion. According to the Bible, believers will be “caught up” to meet Christ in the air at the time of his Second Coming. This “rapture” is accompanied by great joy and ecstasy.

Rapture is often used to describe an experience that is so overwhelming that it’s hard to put into words. That might be because the concept of rapture is closely related to the idea of transcendence, or moving beyond the ordinary. When we experience rapture, we are transported to a different place, whether that’s literally or figuratively. In either case, rapture is a powerful, life-changing emotion.

The Rapture is an event in Christian eschatology in which all Christians will be taken up into heaven before the Tribulation. The Tribulation is a time of great tribulation on earth, during which the Antichrist will reign. The Rapture is not to be confused with the Second Coming of Christ, which is when Christ will return to earth to defeat the Antichrist and establish his kingdom.
